Attic Insulation

Blown Attic Insulation is typically the single most cost effective home improvement one can make. Replacement windows are a close second. Adding comfort and saving money on utility bills is what Superior Home Insulation is all about and there is no better place to start than with blown attic insulation. From inspection, measurement, testing and certification Superior Home Insulation’s reliable staff and management are home energy professionals with decades of experience and formal training. Superior Home Insulation only uses “Virgin” fiberglass that forms a superior “monolithic” or single seal of blown insulation across the entire attic floor.

Superior Home Insulation is; non-combustible, absorbs less than 1% of its weight in moisture, resist settling, packing, mold, mildew, rust, rot, vermin, has a high R factor, is worker friendly and home owner safe. Blown fiberglass attic insulation is durable and easy to repair after service of mechanical and other systems typically located in the attic. Simply walk on rafter tops and spread back in place with a plastic yard rake as you exit.

Superior Home Insulation does not contain newspaper, arsenic laced inks, soy based inks, rat poison, pesticides, starch, fire retardants or moisture inhibitors. We do not use cellulose or any other types of loose fill insulation products. We only use ASTM NAHB R-rated “virgin” fiberglass blowing wool. Superior Home Insulation does not contain formaldehyde.

We strive to complete all jobs in a prompt and professional manner but there is never a rush by our experienced crews because Superior Home Insulation does not pay our employees a “piece rate” or “by the square foot” or on any “production based” pay scale. We pay our employees weekly based on an hourly wage. We constantly encourage our crews to “slow down, be careful, do good work.” In other words Superior Home Insulation pays our people to do the job right regardless of how long it takes. It’s the Superior way. The competition’s way is to pay a “piece rate” that encourages workers to rush or hurry, and as you know haste makes waste. When corners are cut performance suffers and energy is wasted costing you thousands of dollars over the life of your home.

Experienced crews using professional equipment can make quick work of most blown attic insulation jobs. But far too often vital performance areas are left unaddressed, un-insulated, overlooked, or ignored. Whatever the reason, neglect or ignorance, fundamental issues such as: determining (all) attic areas, applying proper depth of insulation, insuring balanced ventilation and HVAC duct system integrity and addressing common attic features such as; interior access doors, knee walls, band joist, block out, cathedral ceilings, ceiling wells, flue pipes, attic fans, recessed lights, decked storage, etc. all greatly affect overall home energy performance and safety.

Superior attic inspection and our “trust but verify” production policy insures that vital performance areas are addressed; whether repaired, upgraded or replaced homeowner value and satisfaction are our guide. We call it determination through diligence, it’s the Superior way. Superior Home Insulation determines through diligent inspection most common attic insulation defects with the use of our exclusive Superior attic inspection check list.
